For me, the beauty of an antique silver rope chain is enhanced by its patina. This lovely chain is over 100 years old and has one of my favourite clasp styles, a smooth silver tube. I love these clasps for many reasons, the ease of use and the fact that it's never scratchy or uncomfortable are a plus. I have added some antique curb chain and a particularly unusual and lovely watch hook. This rare beauty of a hook has so many unique qualities. It is 800 grade silver, with niello enamel stripes and an unusual round hook. The chain and hook drop are removable making this lovely jewel even more versatile. Slide the watch hook off and wear the chain on its own, or hang your favorite bits & bobs from the fabulous hook. The ingredients in this necklace date from 1880-1910.

From the Married Chains Collection by Ancient Influences. All of the ingredients in this necklace are recycled and vintage. I love using vintage findings, and am thrilled by the discovery of just the right split ring or hook for a piece.

Details.....The chain is 17.5" long and 2mm wide. The drop, including the hook, measures 1.36" long. The piece weighs 9.2 grams.

Each item from this line of jewelry is unique and incorporates re-purposed vintage and antique pieces. Small imperfections are to be expected and considered part of their charm.
