Maintenance of a hand wind watch

The Automatic Tourbillon G701 is an automatic self-wind mechanical watch, which means that it doesn't require a battery. Hand-wound watches need to be winded before use. After the first winding, the watch will keep moving and winds itself automatically from natural hand movement if used at least 8 hours during the day.

How to wind a hand-wound watch?

  1. Pull out the crown
  2. Screw the crown anti-clockwise to the current time
  3. Push the crown back
  4. Turn the crown clockwise until you feel the resistance (about 15-20 rounds)

Stop winding the watch when you feel the resistance. If you overwind the watch, the spring might break.
